There’s No Fun In Fungus

There’s No Fun In Fungus

Well, maybe there is fun in fungus however, it’s only in a word there’s actually no fun to speak of. We are confronted by a number of attacks on our body which thankfully are combatted ably by our amazing immune system and it’s on duty 24/7. Sadly though, we are open to rather aggressive bacteria, viruses and of course good old fungus infections.

If you have ever experienced a bout of fungus whether it be something like thrush or jock itch or tinea of the feet, you know what we are talking about. Fungus is a pervasive infection and does need to be dealt with very quickly in order to overcome some of the more troubling symptoms.

Let’s spend a little tine on getting to know your Toes and how they are affected by fungal infections and what you can do to rid yourself of this problem and prevent it from coming back.

Toenail fungus is typically a yellowing of nails, brittleness and thickening. The problem does get worse the longer you leave the condition untreated. The end result is an unsightly set of nails that people are reluctant to display.

Fungus thrives in warm humid conditions and when you are constantly putting on shoes that are known sources of reinfection, you are feeding the beast. Toenail fungus is also very tricky to eradicate mainly due to the growing phases of the nail on feet (and hands for that matter).  Damaged nails from fungal infections have to grown out in order to allow new nail growth to have its clear and undamaged appearance.

How do you achieve fungal eradication on your nails? This is a journey, you must be diligent and treat nails for a reasonably long period time and that includes the best hygiene for feet, using a product that will kill off the infection and combat the disease to allow infected nails to grown out and new nails to appear uninfected.

A number of non-prescription products are available and as we said, don’t expect overnight success. Natural treatments are also available and these can be applied on a daily basis to combat the disease and prevent recurrence.

Don’t let unsightly nails of the feet be the reason why you are embarrassed to wear flip flops or have your feet on display at pools or other places where your feet can be proudly shown as healthy and attractive.

Check out product’s that have science behind their ingredients since application of an effective treatment is paramount to your success in beating toenail fungus.

If symptoms of the infection persist or worsen, always take time to speak to your healthcare provider.
